Mark didn't pass out. Not really. It was more like a series of connected events where he flowed in and out of consciousness. Jostled along a pavement. Helped by Veronica over a set of stairs, because they didn’t want him to hit his head, she said. Then he might actually die. An idle remark from JD about handcuffing him to the banister. A brief spat over whether or not they should have gagged him with something, so he didn’t wake Veronica’s mom and dad. Sort of like what he imagined an acid trip would feel like, if he ever took any.
Or: Veronica and JD have a shared crush on Hard Harry.
