“Hey Mike?” Will whispered once their breathing had finally settled down and the room fell back into silence.
“Yeah?” He hummed, rubbing circles with his thumb on Will’s hip.
“I don’t think I could ever stop loving you either.”
Then, Will’s breathing slowed and fell into the same rhythm it always did when he was asleep. Will cuddled up against him, and Mike absentmindedly threaded his free hand through his hair. Eventually, Mike fell asleep too— sleep came easy when the only person he had ever loved was laying on top of him.
And for once in his life, Mike Wheeler was finally getting everything he wanted.

Summary
Set in 2007 Hawkins, a recently divorced father of two — Mike Wheeler — bumps into his old friend Will at his workplace, Hawkins middle, where he’s the substitute teacher for a class hosting his eldest daughter and Will’s son.
Will had moved to New York in the early 90’s when Mike got married to his ex-wife, Kimberly, and they lost touch—not have talked in over 15 years. Will expressed his reasons for moving may have been triggered by Mike’s choice in romantic partner and Mike is quick to admit his disapproval of Will’s ‘boyfriend’.

Summary
The summer before college is supposed to be easy.
Mike teaches Will how to drive. They get jobs at Family Video. Evenings still belong to the park, the swings, the same routines they’ve had for years. For a while, it almost feels like nothing has changed.
Then their boss gives them ten boxes of unlabeled tapes and tells them to watch them. All of them. Tuesdays, paid, just the two of them in a dark room writing down runtimes and summaries like it doesn’t matter.
Most of the tapes are nothing.
Some of them aren’t.
And suddenly, being alone together starts to feel different. Something neither of them quite knows how to name, or admit, or look at too closely.
Told in alternating POV, this is a story about growing up, denial, and what happens when something you’ve spent years ignoring refuses to stay buried.
