But he knows Kyoutani does—and for some reason, it makes some kind of dumb, smug pride swell in his chest, because Kyoutani doesn't even listen to Oikawa or their Chief half the time. Iwaizumi is the exception, but so is he, it seems.

Yahaba isn’t totally thrilled by Kyoutani’s prickly, loner attitude and his messy way of ghost hunting, but once you get past the glares and grunts, he’s not actually such a bad guy to work with. When their ghost hunts start to go wrong and a more sinister plot begins to reveal itself, Yahaba realizes he’s got to work together with Kyoutani before things get really out of hand.

A violent knocking sound infiltrated the lighthouse and filled Daichi with dread, what? For a moment he was sure he’d been hearing things, all was quiet. But then it came again, unrelenting and Daichi made a break for the staircase.
Down the spiral staircase he went, dashing to the lower floor of the lighthouse.

He unlocked the deadbolt on the door, swinging the heavy metal open and freezing in his tracks.

Daichi’s blood froze in his veins, turning to a cold, heavy lead in his body and dragging him down. His eyes were blown wide, mouth agape.
