Summary
Mydei, a lionfish and the former prince of a fallen empire, is sent to Aedes Elysiae on the orders of his new masters to bring back the head of the beast seen overfishing their waters. Mydei let out a deep sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose in resignation. “Let me get this straight,” he finally said, still staring at the girl in disbelief. “You downloaded a sugar-dating app and catfished an old man using my face and body without my knowledge or permission?!”
“I only did it for fun! I didn’t expect that he would actually—”
“—and you expect me to help you and act like I was really the one he’d been texting for the past six months?!”
Absolutely unbelievable. Then again, Mydei should’ve known based on the countless expensive gifts, jewelry, and flowers that kept piling up in their apartment room—things Cipher liked to hoard.
“Uh…Yes?”
