They can each stand alone and be read separately if preferred - the first is fluffier and showcases Buck and Bobby's relationship from pre-canon to the lightning strike, the second part picks up immediately after this and goes through Season 7 and part of Season 8 (to 8x13). The final part is set in the aftermath of 8x15 and focuses on Buck's grief.
