Summary
The apocalypse does not arrive. Led by the wind and the promise of normalcy, Will finds himself in Chicago, sharing an apartment with Lucas and Max - discovering a life outside of Hawkins.
Halloween carries Mike to their doorstep, where he realizes, that while he is all too fond of seeing Will dressed as Dana Barrett, he is not a fan of seeing Will as the love interest to Lucas’s Dr. Peter Venkman.
Fucking signals fucking him over and worsening his break down only a few days later… Will ought to laugh about it with Robin, one of these days.
There is an alarming keenness in Mike’s eyes, on his face, in his body language. His behavior at seeing Will in a dress being from homophobia is at a half possibility, at present.
Curiously enough, this Mike wants to make-out.
Not date, no.
Will wonders, whether the fifteen-year-old version of himself would be appeased by this Mike. He thinks, too, of that naïve sixteen-year-old Will, his buoyant demeanor with Robin misplaced amidst their quest to defeat Vecna; would he settle for this Mike?
Deep within him, Will knows that the answers would not matter - not now. This Will Byers would.

Summary
Mike and Will had slipped into a silent habit of joint and warm beer, for better or for worse.
It started in the summer of ‘89, when Mike had stumbled in on Will, legs lazily draped over a chair on the cabin porch, half-way down a joint, watching him walk up the stairs and sit down beside him with a silent smile.
It’d gone downhill from there, when Mike had taken a hit, and then five, and then they’d smoked the rest of that and one more, and then raided the liquor cabinet for one of those bottle of shitty wine Ms. Byers had stocked up on, and then they were on his bed, sinking into the mattress, rough hands and a knee slipped between Mike’s legs, and they’d finished the bottle, then woken up the next morning, tangled up in one another, sore and bruised, and they’d ignored it.
They kept ignoring it, as they were drunk or high more often, and Will’s cigarette habit was picked up by Mike, and they’d sneak behind the school and smoke, with Will’s head resting on Mike's shoulder.

Summary
Hey guys! Who else was upset about the Stranger Things ending????
Everybody? Good.
(If you liked the finale and are just reading this for shits and giggles that's fine too, the above statement was a hyperbole)For those of you who don't know me, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Theseus_Katsuki, the crazy person who is currently rewriting Lego Ninjago in six different POV's because I got sick and tired of watching a fifteen year long slow-burn that isn't going to happen. I'm quite literally known as the Ninjago Re-Write person.
I have a lot of finale grievances, but here's my biggest: El, Will, and Mike all received their worst fears/worst-case scenarios as their endings (yes, outside of Byler too).
Therefore, with the power invested in me (a half empty energy drink can and an unholy amount of gummy bears), I present to you a complete re-write of the entire Stranger Things Series fueled by nothing but sheer insanity.
(This fic covers S1, fic two covers S2 and so on)Because in every timeline, every possibility, there is nowhere that William Byers wouldn't follow Michael Wheeler.
And in every timeline, every possibility, Michael Wheeler would do the same for William Byers.Series

Summary
Freshman year was supposed to be about independence.
For Mike Wheeler, it becomes about rules.
Rules about borrowed clothes. About hypotheticals. About not drinking Smirnoff, not stealing kisses, not saying things like mine like they mean something.
He and Will Byers are just roommates. Obviously.
Except roommates don’t share beds, trade jackets, raise a kitten together, or write each other into the margins of their lives like this.
