That stretch of his life from fourteen to sixteen was reduced to a compressed, locked-away nightmare that he pretended never to have gone through in the face of his dreams coming true before him. It worked brilliantly. He kept rising and rising, solidifying his importance to the team, to Xavi fucking Hernandez. God himself couldn’t take that away from him, because as far as he was concerned, nothing had happened those nights at La Masia in the first place.

Summary
Peter Parker, like any 14 year old superhero mutant, really wants to catch a break. And yet somehow, he never gets one. He's just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, nothing special, so what gives?
Well, that's only if you don't look at his biology ever since the radioactive spider bite. Or his extensive track record of running away from his guardians and that he was homeless for a bit. Or the amount of people in his life that have died because he's some kind of bad luck charm. Or that his foster-dad is Tony Stark now.
Or the fact that he was randomly kidnapped one morning on his way to school, and now he's in an alternate universe with a bunch of strange vigilantes that keep stalking him.
He thinks they mean well, but they're really weird. Besides that Red Hood guy. He's pretty cool. Though something about them- especially Nightwing- is familiar, that's not important. He has enough on his plate right now, considering there are multiple people trying to upend the fabric of time and space. He can figure out the other details later.
