Parrot is, after all, part of the avian family. His wings need to be preened thoroughly before he takes flight. A bird's wings is their pride. Anyone would know that. It’s been eight years since Class 1-A graduated from U.A High School. Everyone decided to go to a Japanese-style Soba place to celebrate Shoto becoming the No. 2 Pro Hero. Which, in the end, was good for everyone to catch up on what’s been new in their lives. Hero work has taken up everybody’s time, so they were lucky enough to manage this celebration, even if it wasn’t too long. But there was an unnamed ache in Katsuki Bakugo’s chest that night. Izuku Midoriya had been on his mind more than he should have been. That was a problem for Katsuki. He knew he shouldn’t be thinking of that big, green-eyed nerd.

It was the easiest way to live without feeling the constant pull on his heart. Every time he comes to himself, he is reminded of the pathetic tragedy that is his life.
And so, he kind of Unplugged the power in his head and started floating, trying to dull the the pain tugging on his chest, the weight of his current presence that once were the future he was dreaming of.
Or:
after being depressed for 7 years, and discovering that no, it’s doesn’t get better, izuku decides to end his life.
Good thing he has people around that wouldn’t let him go that easily.
