Felix furrowed his brow, his mind racing to make sense of Sylvain's words. "Missing? What do you mean missing?”
Sylvain shook his head. "No one knows for sure, but rumors have been spreading. Hungry wolves, hungry families, even hungry nobles."
The connotation sent a shiver down Felix's spine. It was an unthinkable notion, but desperation had a way of driving people to unthinkable acts. "Wolves, I can see. But cannibalistic nobles? That's absurd."
