Summary
A few weeks after stabilizing the Circus and coming to terms with their permanent life there, the gang agrees to bring Caine back- on the condition that Kinger rewrites his code and removes his power over the world.
Caine awakens to find himself on relatively equal footing with humans for the first time in his life. Can he learn to listen and understand them now that he's no longer bound to his program's original purpose? Will the humans ever be able to truly forgive him for everything he's done to them? Can anything truly change?
Featuring Caine trying human things, found family bonding, and a healthy dose of angst while everyone processes their various traumas and learns to accept this new world they're making together. Or tries to, anyway.

Summary
After a gruelling long three weeks, Caine is restored, and the circus’ glitch-filled fate has come to a halt. However, he’s come back wrong: glitches wrack his body, his memory turns spotty, and Kinger, the only person capable to fix this, is someone he can’t even acknowledge without paralysing himself in a blind, screaming panic. At the sheer mention of him, he disappears.
Before Caine hurts anyone again or even himself, the others need to find him and figure out and calm his paralysing fear before things get any worse.

It’s been a few days since The Favorite Character Awards.
Pomni has been through a number of bizarre things during her time in the circus. Candy truck chases, angel head horrors, minimum wage labor, athletic events, gun-filled battle royales. But none of these come close to what she witnesses on a seemingly innocent day full of beach-filled fun: Caine attempting to take his own life.
After managing to stop him, Pomni takes it upon herself (and is borderline forced to by Bubble) to help keep Caine’s mental state intact by engaging in improvised therapy sessions with him. After all, if Caine died, what would happen to the circus? And to the humans that lived within it? This was her only concern at first. But as Caine opens up to her more through these sessions, she realizes just how much the AI is hurting and how long he has been harboring these negative emotions.
Turns out Caine needs more help than she thought.
He's just as trapped in this game as they are. And worse.

Also fucking RIP Dream, not entirely sure why Nightmare died, but mah man and his hoes are dead and Dream went through the fucking ringer when the multiverse emotions balance got flipped more than a monopoly board on family game night. Also also, rare crazed Swap!Sans moment, bro really took one look at all the other shit versions of him deal with and went "Nah, Imma do my own thing." and lead a thousand children into a genocide take over. Plus, love his dynamic with Fresh. And finally Error the love he deserves, man's needed a hug since the dawn of time but his haphephobia is worse than Gympie Gympie. Love us a man who gets basic decency once and does not hesitate to kill for that person. Beautiful, gorgeous, chefs kiss. Simple reminder for plot, dust stabbed blue, dust later had hide from a justified ass whopping from swapyrus in the pizza shop. Amazing development of Killer slowly being reunited with his conscience (not sarcastic, mah boi repressed shit so hard I swear if he felt any happiness all of a sudden he'd think he's been drugged). Dream is slowly starting to realise that his brother it's a homocidal maniac because of his corruption anymore (can't blame him, I'd be cautious too if my brother tried to be all buddy buddy with me after I heard he went on a killing spree while I got the season 1 discord treatment). Ink is only in it for the shits and giggles, we love a shit stirrer, but we also love it when dream COMES IN WITH THE STEEL CHAIR! Nightmare now has 4 sons, we love a gaslight gate keep girlboss. You read this once a few years back and the newest chapters JUST CANNOT STOP WINNING.
