"There's no need to negotiate for your safety, Doctor Grace," Stratt says carefully. "I can assure you, after saving the world, you will be looked after."
"Um, no," he says, shaking his head. "I'm not negotiating for my safety." He steps aside. “I’m negotiating for theirs.”
They step into the light of the open doorway; Simon, squinting hard against the vivid sun with his hand raised to shield his eyes and Rocky, who chirps a casual "Hello, humans!" with a wave.
There’s a gasp; someone takes a step backward; one of the military personnel raises their rifle slightly before Stratt makes a sharp gesture for them to stand down.
Grace doesn’t have eyes for them - he only looks at Stratt.
And he decides, then and there, to replace the image of Stratt’s face sending him to his death, full of remorse and sadness, with the one in front of him: utter, complete disbelief.
Grace thinks he'll treasure it forever.or: rocky and grace (+simon) go to earth instead of erid

Summary
Ryland Grace and Rocky bring the Hail Mary out of retirement when it becomes clear that their universe is not the only one being affected by astrophage.
This is complicated by the fact that some of the universes are domains of death, suffering, and anarchy, while others rely mainly on the power of friendship and song. Between their conflicting tones of satire, gothic literature, cosmic horror, and kid-friendly humor, they may never unravel which of them was actually supposed to save the multiverse in the first place.

Gerry rolled his eyes. “What's the offer?”
“I had a bit of a confrontation with Elias, he’s dead.”
Gerry sat up, leaning over the table. “Wow.” He hummed. “Guess I sort of thought that would be more dramatic.”
Gertrude ignored his comment. “I’m taking over as head of the Institute which leaves my position open, now while I don’t want to hire you on official terms, I feel this would give you great opportunity to have a secondary place for research and-”
“Are you offering me a job?”
In which Gertrude is the Head of the Institute, Gerry is the unofficial Archivist, and Micheal is there to watch it all fall a part.

Summary
Gerry managed to beat cancer and moved back to London to manage a certain antique shop. He hoped to lead a peaceful life, away from all the chaos of his past. However, it's proven difficult to ignore all the eldritch horrors lurking around, and Gerry might have unintentionally gotten closer to the action than he had planned. Chaos ensues.
