Summary
Rolan does not have a crush on Tav. Or Tav’s creepy, possessive vampire lover. He absolutely doesn’t get off to fantasies of a certain tall, broad-shouldered paladin taking him like one of the dominant love interests from Rolan’s favorite smutty literature. That would be ridiculous and pathetic and Rolan, future apprentice to an archmage, is neither of those things.
On the other hand… there isn't much to do on the way to Baldur's Gate from the shadow-cursed lands, and Rolan's been more than a little pent up.

Summary
Rolan is, well, pent-up, to say the least. He can't focus on his work, he's snapping at his siblings and customers alike, and a particular hero of Baldur's Gate keeps haunting his dreams and fantasies. At the behest of his siblings, he finds himself at Sharess' Caress, in search of some, ahem, servicing, in an effort to relieve some of his tension.
Little did he know that the aforementioned Hero of Baldur's Gate is, a) a courtesan at the Caress, b) a shapeshifting half-incubus, and c) willing to iron out every bit of Rolan's tension for free. (Almost free. They technically have to charge him, Mamzell's orders.)
What follows is a night Rolan will never forget, with plenty of surprises along the way.
AKA: Half-Incubus Tav, Vox (They/Them), milks multiple orgasms out of Rolan, overstimulates him to hell and back, and Rolan discovers he has a praise kink. That's it, that's the fic.

With Baldur's Gate rebuilt and her friends scattered to the winds, Tav decides to settle down as a tavern keeper and relax into a quiet retirement of serving drinks and spinning stories. Unfortunately, every single one of her new neighbors seems to think she's untrustworthy at best and terrifying at worst.
Every one, that is, except Rolan.

You snort and the slack-jawed look of absolute incredulity on his face reminds you of his drunken disdain at the Last Light Inn. The memory turns your snort into an outright cackle.
"Rolan, my love. I'm a big girl. I have my own magic. I fought the Fomorians in Astrazalian for over a century. I appreciate your concern, and I don't mean for this to sound diminutive," you sit back in your chair and fold your arms over your chest, "but I am certain I can handle my own horny tiefling husband."

Rolan doesn't know anything about paladin oaths, but what he does know is that the paladin who arrives in the grove is fundamentally good, and it infuriates him. She has no right to get in anyone's business, no right to make him feel inferior for just wanting to keep himself and his siblings safe. Who cares if she's as beautiful, strong and humble as she is righteous? Who cares if he makes a complete ass of himself every time he talks to her? Who cares if her companions don't like him? Who cares if she pushes him to be a better man?
And even if he did care, or think she was beautiful, or dream about her when he closed his eyes, what would someone so fundamentally good want with him anyway?

There wasn't a time she could remember that she wasn't the one shouldering the hurt and pain of others. The whole illithid journey took the most toll on her out of it all. However, she was past it now. Now she spent her days hanging out with Rolan and his siblings, only shouldering the weight of an unspoken crush. So when she finally decides to confess her feelings, and Rolan seems less than thrilled about the idea, she runs.

Rolan stared at her, his thoughts grinding together as the powerful urge to pin her to the ground and take her whatever way was fastest made it impossible to think. Taking a deep breath, he at last managed a strained, "What?"
Brid's smile split into a gleeful grin. "Be honest: do you want me?"
Against his will, Rolan’s shoulders tensed, his lip curled. “Yes.”
“Then you’ll have to catch me.”
Without another word, Brid whirled around and took off running.
Rolan's biology has finally caught up with him, so Brid distracts him with a chasing game.

What are you to do now? Storm Ramazith’s tower atop a glittering pegasus? Perhaps you’ll declare him a poor maiden in need of a hero and expect him to swoon and fall at your feet? Should he kiss you for luck as well? Give you a handkerchief? For all the painful obedience he’s given to Lorroakan, it would be a simple thing to give it to you instead, wouldn’t it? So far you’ve asked for nothing, (not that he would’ve given you anything besides a pinched declaration of thanks) but surely his bill is due soon.
