"You don't. But that's part of the risk, isn't it?" MacCready thought about that and nodded. He gave his price and she agreed to it.

"You're sweet, MacCready, you know that?" she murmured. Her eyes were halfway closed, her chin resting on his shoulder. She wasn't so drunk that she didn't know what she was saying, but she was definitely drunk enough to say the things she had been wanting to. "You complain a lot, but you're always real sweet.
