Pretty much following the tradition of aliens-made-them-do-it [only kind of inverted], in which Kirk and Spock end up at a planet where they are not allowed to touch each other [due to religious issues, politeness protocol, whatever].

The day his contract with Val was voided he was nervous, he was scared; he remembers that his legs were shaking and he ran the fuck out of the tower before Val even had a chance to reach for his gun. Before he knew it, Angel was across the city with Husk by his side and no chain around his neck. It had been broken, really broken. There was no more studio, no more group sex, no more waterboarding, spanking, beating, no more men ignoring his safe words and his tears and his blood under Val’s direction. There was no more fame. There was no more money. There was no more Val.
He swears he’s happy. He’s never been happier.

Vincent has spent fucking ages chasing an infuriatingly elusive man, tracking him all the way into the bayou.
When he finally gets the drop on Alastor in his twisted cabin, he doesn’t want to kill him or even stop him. He wants a partnership. If Alastor wants to summon demons, he’s game, as long as Alastor helps him keep the network entertaining. But Alastor doesn’t trust easily, and it takes more than ensnaring him to prove any kind of loyalty.
Vincent is obsessed, and he will do anything to prove himself to Alastor. Alastor is very willing to see what “anything” looks like.
