***Mammon had to hold strong, for himself, for his brothers, because no one else would be there for them. He chose not to think any more. His head hurt. He laid Satan down in the bassinet, curling up on the hard floor beside it, still wishing this was all a bad dream.
The envy, it festered like an aggravating itch in his bones, deep, infuriating, maddening. Oh how he desired to claw under his flesh, to tear himself open to soothe it, but he knew even a knife couldn't carve it out because it wasn't in his flesh. It was him. Leviathan's feelings were tearing him apart and there was nothing he could do about it.
Belphegor didn't move. He couldn't. What was the point anyway? Beel probably would never find him. His bones throbbed, his head stuffy, eyelids heavy. He wanted nothing more than for the earth to swallow him up, to reclaim his aching body.

Monday 30th January.
Dear diary~Boys, let me tell you.
The Catch Up Club. Is. Chaos.
See, I imagined it like detention, I think. Silence, and then some prick starts messing around and playing trash music, so you all have to stay an extra fifteen minutes.
My first mistake was assuming that there was any structure to the club at all.
No, Aimsey dragged me into the classroom (because I really couldn't be assed, could I?) and I was met immediately by the most eccentric group of people in my entire life.
OR:
Out of nowhere, Tom Simons' school is met with a bug, giving those in contact superpowers. Tommy is given the short end of the stick.
Until he meets Wilbur at an after-school club and his life becomes a walking murder mystery that he seems destined to solve, or fall victim to.

He can hear a woman calling to him. So sweet and welcoming.
… He wishes that his brothers could hold him, one last time.
But they can’t. Not with the barrier in the way.
