Shoes was helping herself to the parts of a motorcycle that was way too nice to be left unattended at night in this part of town. It was sure to be a decent pay out, until she heard the stupid robot voice call out from behind her, “You know, this is like some fucked-up, backwards deja vu for me.”
She tensed for a moment but didn’t bother turning to see the Red Hood there. At some point after the big bad crime boss started giving her tips on how to get away with stealing or offering her his fucking jacket in the cold, he started to lose his edge of intimidation. Instead she focused on removing the back tire of the bike and saying, “This is just some routine maintenance.”

Summary
Jason hadn’t cooked since he’d come back a few years ago. He hadn’t had the time, and he hadn’t seen the point. There was takeout and delivery everywhere, and his safehouses were stocked with frozen meals and MREs. Sure, they didn’t taste as good, but Jason had different priorities now.
But just this once wouldn’t hurt.
