She only had to bring her extra water when she saw the signs of dehydration. To send back the steak because it wasn’t how Aeri liked it. To lean in when Aeri flinched at the sound of a broken glass behind them.

Which is technically true.

She rolls her eyes and grumbles under her breath as her ears pick up the sound of a pretty feminine voice moaning. That’s her neighbor, the only pretty thing about this situation.
“Poor girl… is that the fifth one this week?”
Blame it on her sleepy brain, or maybe her horny brain, but Minjeong doesn’t realize that she said that thought out loud until she hears the hum of the vibrator come to a stop. There’s dead silence for a beat, soft panting on the other side of the wall. Then Minjeong’s wide-eyed, panic swirling in her chest when she knows her neighbor heard her. The walls of the complex are paper thin; of course her neighbor heard her.
