Basically, LQG gets transmigrated into a dogblood drama (the "dog-biting-dog" style melodramatic soap operas, hence "dogblood"), but just wants to cultivate and live happily with SY. If only these damn characters would get a hint and stop trying to drag him back into the plot!
Meanwhile, after being forcefully repatriated, SY uses all his superpowers as an avid trashy web-novel reader to try to predict what will happen and protect LQG from all the shitty tropes while also dealing with the realization that there’s been cultivation in the modern world this whole time!Not to mention the familiar-but-different faces popping up here and there…

This is, ultimately, a story about family. About struggling with depression, grief, the aftermath of betrayal, struggling to accept two conflicting sides to the same story, and - growth, recovery.
