Summary
The druids of old created the Prophecy of The Once and Future King.
And they got it wrong.
“They what?”
“Wrong. They misinterpreted it.” Whatshisname is excited and has no idea Merlin is about ten seconds away from having the meltdown to end all meltdowns. Possibly literally. He is really rather stupidly powerful in his old age.
“Explain. Quickly. Less excitedly.”
Or
There are reasons why you shouldn’t plan your future based on crystals. Or Druids. Or Dragons. Merlin would like a do-over, thanks.

Taken alone it is harmless, but taken within an alcoholic beverage, such as mead, it is deadly. With her victory over Emrys almost complete, Morgana thinks she will finally be rid of her mortal foe, but what happens if a supposedly unaware knight drinks the poisoned mead instead of Morgana’s intended target? And what happens when Merlin learns he was the intended mark, and that an innocent person took his place and may pay the price.

Summary
Merlin's new Dragonlord powers come with some unforeseen side effects. When he's kidnapped by bandits, the new aspect of his powers makes itself known.
But Merlin could've gotten himself out of the mess on his own, thank you very much, if only Arthur hadn't made it worse by rushing in and trying to save him.

Summary

Summary
Finally, the man tears his gaze away and meets Arthur’s eyes once more. “I seek the aid of your Camelot,” he says, but his voice sounds more hesitant now, as if he’s had to change his response for some strange reason.
Merlin can’t help but believe that reason is him.
“As for who I am,” the man says with a bit of a chuckle, and he glances around the room again at familiar faces, at his friends. “I am Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot.”
Or:
When a mysterious stranger shows up to Camelot claiming to be Arthur from the future and seeking help for his sick consort, Merlin learns some things about himself, about Arthur, and about a future he never dreamed was possible.

Summary
After Prince Arthur Pendragon tells his father about his interest in men, tensions arise within the castle of Camelot. Meanwhile, with the neighboring country threatening to break out in complete chaos, Crown Prince Merlin of Ealdor has to protect his people and thus avoid the conflict at all costs. His solution? A fake relationship with Camelot's prince, bribing Uther to accept his son through the promise to end their alliance in case he doesn't.
Things are happening a bit too fast for Arthur's taste (or his brain), but he actually doesn't mind being supported for once. He could do without the romantic shenanigans though.

Summary
For the prompt:
Trans Merlin is a struggling university student (medieval history) and to make ends meet, he starts writing short stories and posting them under the pseudonym emrys. Naturally, he starts with his namesake and somehow the character of Prince Arthur appears in them. Lancelot, bless his soul, manages to get him a small space in the magazine he works on that also sends a copy to their university, fully encouraging him about the potential of his short stories. Merlin is pretty sure Lancelot and Gwen (and Gwaine) are the only ones one reading his silly stories that may or may not have homoerotic leanings. It's not entirely his fault. Merlin may be a little bit too queer to write any sort of straight character.
Arthur finds himself under more pressure each day, with his father expecting him to be a fully developed lawyer at the end of college. Already at his wit's end after being a mediator in another fight between his father and (apparently) half sister, he prays for any distraction and it is Leon that suggests one of the new short stories being posted in the university's magazine. Arthur soon finds himself more than a little dedicated (obsessed) with them.

“He likes you,” Merlin declares once the two of them have settled into his car at the end of their workday.
Gwen raises a brow. “Who does?”
“Arthur,” Merlin says smugly. “He likes you; I know it.”
Or:
When Arthur Pendragon ends up at Albion United Hospital multiple times over a few months, Merlin can't help but think it's fate for a newly single Gwen. But as it turns out, Arthur may just have his eyes on someone else... and Gwen might too.

“Ok.”
“What?”
“You said you wanted to experiment.”
“Yes, but—”
“Meaning you want to try having sex with a man, yeah?”
“Yes.”
“And, you want that man to be me?”
“...yes.”
“Ok. Then if that’s what you want I’d be willing to help.”
OR: Thanks to a game of Never Have I Ever, token straight friend Arthur Pendragon is thrown into a gay crisis about never having had a gay crisis. He decides the obvious course of action is to conduct a little experimentation. And who better to help him out than his flatmate/ best friend who he's obviously not attracted to? ...Right? -

Summary
Merlin's jobs are as follows: Assistant physician, Prince's Manservant, and Secret Protector of the Once and Future King.
A sudden influx of magical beasts from a nearby kingdom terrorising Camelot and flushing the Druids out of hiding forces him to take up another one: Emrys, King of the Druids. Of course, he's doing this anonymously, he's gonna need a disguise. No one can know it's Merlin kicking the shit out of stray Chimeras.
Meanwhile, Arthur is terribly frustrated. His father won't let him out even as magical beasts are rampaging around the kingdom, and people are dying. Well, what Uther doesn't know won't hurt him. But he's gonna need a disguise. No one can know it's Arthur beating the brains out of random water spirits.
And, sidenote: who's this Emrys guy?-----
Merlin answers threats to Camelot and the Druids as Emrys. Arthur does the same in defiance of his father as The Red Knight. They're medieval superheroes. -

Summary
Kilgarrah has been cryptic at best and infuriating at worst. Merlin's not sure what he expected, but surely the great lizard could've given him a heads up that he'd start growing SCALES.
That's not the least of it, and he can't exactly ask for a work leave to get his brand new claws in order. What's he gonna tell Arthur? And is it going to be even a little bit believable?Series

*I know the tags are a cluster fuck but please go through and read the trigger warnings. Thank you.
He had one goal: to survive. Whether that meant figuring out self defense (which was often a trial by fire) or ways to get food on the table, he learned it all. And clung to it.
So you can imagine why a prick like Arthur, who never had to do a day of hard work in his life, fed from a silver spoon since birth and walked the halls like he owned them, pissed Merlin off so much.

Summary
Fit Bloke yanks the books from his hands harshly, unbalancing Merlin, making him have to stop himself from face planting by bracing a hand on the floor. Giving him a disgusted look, Fit Bloke sneers, “Get up, you look ridiculous,” before briskly walking away in the opposite direction, his leg connecting with Merlin’s shoulder and knocking him over again.
“Prat,” Merlin says, collecting himself and getting up. Fit Bloke may be a prat, and an arse, but the view of his bum when he strutted away wasn’t bad at all. In fact, it was a very peachy bum, probably from footie....

Summary
When his younger brother, Mordred, finds himself in serious trouble, Merlin can't just sit back and let his life fall apart. So, out of options, he turns to the one person who could possibly help him—the enormously wealthy business owner Arthur Pendragon.
Arthur agrees to help, after some consideration—but of course, everything comes at a price, and for Merlin, it happens to be his hand in marriage.
It's a matter of convenience, of course. Arthur needs a fake spouse to get his father and the public off his back about finding a bride, and Merlin needs the money. It's purely convenience.
At least, that's what Merlin thinks...
