Tommy pushed the front door open and shoved his keys into his pocket. The house was empty and quiet, as he expected. He saw the hurriedly scribbled note that was the same one Phil always left.
He was sorry, and he would be home late.
Tommy left it in the same spot and climbed the stairs up to his room. He opened the closet and dug through all the sweatshirts till he found the one he was looking for.
It was a red and white sweatshirt that matched the one Theseus wore.
A plan was forming, and it was a fucking good one...
: Or an AU where Tommy dresses up as a missing hero to join his dad on patrol. It doesn't go as planned...At all......

He watched the race silently, unable to cheer for the mistakes and risks.
His breath released once Tommy crossed that finish line. Wilbur and Phil were right. The kid was going to get himself killed.
