Today’s activity was a scavenger hunt. Nothing new; Caine had pulled out the same adventure with different items for them to look for a couple of times before. Pomni had played this game before, and despite Caine’s insistence that he re-explain the rules every time, it would prove to be a pretty simple task. Today had been shaping up to be fairly easy by Circus standards. That was, until Caine had told her specifically to come find him after their morning de-briefing. He had explained that he had a “special adventure” for her, but didn’t elaborate beyond that. It made the jester uneasy; who knew what the Hell he had planned for her.

Meanwhile the Inner Circle’s alliance with Eris still stands, putting Azriel in a very tricky position when he’s caught breaking through the wards into Eris’s private chambers one evening.
