The expression hit Yu like a truck.
Wide eyes. Tilted head. That exact same look from the photo.
For one strange second, the room overlapped with the image in his head so perfectly that it gave him genuine déjà vu.Yu stared.
Haru frowned harder. “Why are both of you looking at me like that?”

Haru did all of it with the kind of easy familiarity that suggested he had stopped thinking about it a long time ago.
Meanwhile Yu was losing his mind in increasingly obvious stages.
And somewhere along the line, the problem had stopped being the touching itself.It was Haru

Summary
If he were oblivious, maybe this would hurt less. But Yu knows exactly what he keeps doing to Haru, and somehow he still keeps repeating it anyway. The awareness settles heavily inside him, impossible to outrun no matter how desperately he wants to become someone better before he hurts Haru again.
“I’m sorry,” he says again quietly.
The apology comes out muffled against Haru’s shoulder this time, exhausted and frayed at the edges.OR:

yu goes to a reunion to apologize and instead speedruns enemies-to-whatever-this-is: gets psychologically wrecked, makes out with his former rival in a closet, and lots of emotional damage follows.

Summary
Because it wasn’t new.
It had been building in small, almost laughable moments he never properly acknowledged at the time. The way Tomoya would lean too close when speaking, invading space without ever making it feel like an intrusion. The way he smiled like he didn’t realize what it did to people around him. The way his presence never felt loud—but somehow always filled a room anyway, like something unavoidable rather than intentional.
And his lips.
That was the problem today, apparently.
OR:
Yu goes grocery shopping and somehow ends up realizing he’s in love. This is not helpful. It could’ve been avoided if Tomoya wiped the chocolate off his lips.
Unfortunately, he didn’t.

Summary
There was no clear line—no moment Haru could point to and say this is where it changed. Just a gradual shift, subtle enough to blur into everything Yu had already been; standing a little closer when they talked, not enough to seem strange, just enough that Haru had to tilt his head back slightly to meet his eyes—close enough that he felt it before he consciously registered it: the presence, the warmth, the quiet way it edged into his space without asking.
At some point, Yu had started leaning in instead of calling out to him from across the room.
At some point, Haru had stopped expecting him to stay where he was.OR
Yu acts first and thinks later. Haru thinks first and never acts. This is a problem when Yu keeps putting his hands where they don’t belong and Haru’s solution is to finally participate.

Haru kept his eyes on the glass for a while before speaking, “Why do you… keep kissing everyone?”
Yu let out a quiet breath, rubbing the back of his neck.
“I don’t… go around doing it for no reason.”
He paused, searching for the right words—but nothing felt right.

Dorm chaos ensues, everyone kisses Yu.
Yu mothers and feeds everyone calmly. Haru freaks out a bit, there's angst, there's angry sex... but yuharu is endgame and it all ends well.Series
