Slowly, Mystery Man raises his head. And when his eyes meet Dean’s again, they are so full that Dean is nearly leveled by it. Just. There’s love there, affection, fondness, all in that haunted cornflower blue. They’re greedy, too, like they’re consuming every detail. Dean forgets to breathe. “You sure this guy ain’t dead?” he manages. “Cause you’re looking at me like the last time you saw his mug was ten years ago.”
Mystery Man inhales sharply but doesn’t so much as blink. “He’s very much alive. He made pancakes this morning.” No further elaboration.
“Right…” Dean says a little awkwardly. “Well, since this is happening, apparently, what’s your name?”
Now, Mystery Man hesitates, frowns. Finally, he says, “My name is Cas.”

Summary
"Good morning, Dean." Cas enters the kitchen, a mug of steaming coffee in hand.
There's a record scratch inside of Dean's head. The world screeches to a halt, stops spinning in its orbit around the sun.
"What- why- dude. What?" Dean chokes out, he can feel the coffee pouring down his chin from his gaping mouth, dripping down onto his Star Wars shirt. He doesn't even wipe it off. His brain is fully occupied with processing the sight of Cas' very thick, muscular thighs. It's not until Cas clears his throat Dean realizes he's staring like a maniac and he almost gives himself a whiplash from snapping his head up to meet Cas' eyes.

In hindsight, the tiny supply closet had been a bad idea. A really really bad idea. Maybe Dean needed to start letting someone else make the calls on these hunts, because being crammed into a tiny space with his best friend who he might also be painfully in love with was enough to make Dean yearn in a whole new aching way. Blame it on the small space they were crammed into. Blame it on the way Cas’ hands were burning a deep sense of longing through his shirt and leaving handprints on his skin. The words were on the tip of his tongue and Dean couldn’t stop them bubbling out; didn’t want to stop them even if he could.
