Between the loud storm brewing outside and his obnoxious roommate, Alhaitham couldn’t tell which one was making it more impossible for him to get a good night’s rest. The door to their shared office space was closed. The dim light; most likely from the gas lamp that sat on their, again, shared desk, shined out into the dark hallway from underneath the door. This small thing was exactly what was keeping Alhaitham up all night, it had to be. And it definitely was not the fact that he knew his obnoxious, workaholic, alcoholic roommate hadn’t slept in two days. Those two days he had instead worked on critiquing this single sketch he had drawn for one equally obnoxious client he had acquired. Kaveh always had a way of pleasing people, but only after putting his own health at risk. This was just another one of his self-destructive ways, so why was it suddenly bothering Alhaitham so much?
