Summary
When Richie heard the news that Eddie was to be married, he ran. He began his Grand Tour early, with no tutor to accompany him and leaving no address at which Eddie could write to him. Eddie was never able to tell him that he hadn't gone through with the wedding. That Richie was the reason.
Five years later, Richie receives a letter at his Paris apartment from someone he never thought he would be able to speak to again.
They've both been pining miserably all the while, and their mutual friends decide to give them the nudges they need back toward one another.

They’re in rehearsal before their last two concerts in Kobe when it happens. It’s just one bad landing, his foot slipping where the stage is dented slightly in one place. No one else notices at first, but Seonghwa feels more than hears the sickening pop in his knee.
The pain that erupts through his body makes dark spots appear, dancing, in his field of vision. He looks around, but no one is there to catch him, so he stays upright, tears springing to his eyes.
