Mischief flickered in Amamiya’s molten silver eyes. “Well it certainly seems that way.” He snickered. “I never would have thought that someone like you would be so insecure about getting my attention.”
Goro scoffed. “Insecure, huh? As if.”
Then, acting on instinct, he brought his face within inches of Amamiya’s. “I’ll show you just how confident I am in my abilities.”

Summary
They just need some more coins. They, and more specifically, Goro, need to simply find a way to earn more coins and get this miserable operation done with. It’s the one thing left to ensure his plans come to fruition.
But Goro knows the nature of these cognitive worlds all too well. Pair their naturally unfair behavior with the rigged games of the casino—getting more coins will be no small feat.
Especially not with his damned cognitive self being involved.

Akira doesn't know how he started having regular sex with Goro Akechi, TV celebrity and the very detective that's trying to hunt them down, but he is. Often, and never in bed. Goro never wants to have sex in bed--he always wants to have sex where they could be caught. A Phantom Thief meeting at the start of November just seems like the latest escalation.

Summary

Summary
For one of the first times in his life, Akechi’s speechless. He knows what his old self would say—You couldn’t possibly understand how I feel, attic trash—but Akechi is tired. Tired of his old self swirling in his heart, full of rage. Tired of his “new” self poised in his mind, which is so stuffed with rationality and psychoanalysis that he’s nothing more than a cast off shell. He’s just fucking tired.
“Listen,” Akira continues. “Why don’t we just…start over? I know that might be difficult given what we’ve been through, but you came back here for a reason, right?”
Akechi almost barks out a laugh. Typical Kurusu, with the keen ability to read him so well. With the quiet charisma he begrudgingly admired. It tugs and pulls at his chest like a puppet on strings.
“You haven’t changed,” Akechi says.
Akira grins sheepishly, placing a hand on his neck. “Play me at chess, and you’ll figure out what has.”

Seven years later, Akira and Akechi begin again.

Akechi wasn’t one to doze off, but the soft electric hum of the heater and the fuzzy, muted picture of Akira’s ancient TV screen lulled him in and out of sleep on Akira’s tacky sofa since his arrival earlier in the day.
He shouldn’t be napping, he should be looking over case files and analyzing any new data. As a detective, he had no time to waste like this. But something about Akira, even just his place, seemed to disarm him entirely.

'That’s fine,' Akechi says, seemingly unperturbed. 'I can get out of this myself, I assure you.'
So Akira watches. He watches for several moments as Akechi tries to find a way out of the vines. He tugs, wriggles and pulls—no dice. The vines are still perfectly wrapped around him like a snake coiling its prey. It almost seems that the more he struggles, the worse they tighten.
Akira doesn’t know how to broach the topic, so he tries eloquently, 'Do you think you’re, uh, stuck stuck?'
'Use that glorious intellect of yours, Joker,' Akechi hisses. 'What do you think it looks like?'
After mishandling the research flora in Maruki's Palace, Akechi finds himself trapped in an array of vines. The only way to get out is with Akira's aide, but being trapped drudges up feelings Akechi never wanted to bring to the surface...

Akira is usually pretty thorough when he uses the Velvet Room, but Goro’s had enough of him neglecting one particular service. To make it up to him, Akira brings him back plenty of incense sticks to burn and train his personas with.
All they have to do is wait a few days for it to work, but Akira returns later than he expected and finds that his persona isn’t the only one affected by the thick air in the room.

When Akira ended up in the world of her favorite Otome game, she was probably supposed to go after one of the main love interests. She definitely wasn't supposed try romancing Akechi, the game's villainess, but Akira had never liked being told what to do.

He thought the two would eventually get together ever since Akechi came back from the dead, but Akechi just has continuous one night stands with other guys. After an argument because of Akira’s recklessness and absent mindedness in a fight, Akira finally snaps.
