Summary
He let out something between a breath and a bitter laugh.
He was still holding on to those promises that no longer meant anything, to someone who couldn’t answer him, to a version of the past that refused to come back no matter how hard he pushed against it. Anger was easier for him, it had always been. It gave him something to blame, something to direct all of this toward instead of admitting how powerless he really was.
Because if he let go of that anger, there would be nothing left to hold him up.
And he wasn’t ready to fall into that yet.

Despite Shuriken’s best efforts, the poor guy hasn’t got a sufficient amount of sleep in ages.. and even though Bloxy Cola isn’t even keeping him awake anymore, he still finds it difficult to actually fall asleep.
