Summary
According to one of the Greek myths, a poet called Orpheus descended into the very depths of hell to recover what he loved, risking at the same time everything he had. According to the Bible, however, everything needs a sacrificial Lamb.
The action takes place in post-canon after season 2 and the story “Of swans, feathers and Stars”So… Here we go again! I welcome you all once again – this is a continuation of “Of swans, feathers and stars”, which you will find on my profile. Without it it will be hard to understand what is happening, so I refer those who have not read the previous part :D

Ludzie od wieków podziwiali łabędzie. Ich elegancję, piękno i te imponujące skrzydła, które inspirowały wielu poetów na całym świecie. Ale najbardziej podziwiali ich miłość, oddanie i lojalność. Łączyły się one bowiem w pary na całe życie jako jedne z nielicznych stworzeń. Nie wiedzieli jednak, że Bóg stworzył ich skrzydła na wzór skrzydeł anielskich. Ludzie nie mogli tego wiedzieć. Ale dwie istoty na murach ogrodu Eden już tak. Jednakże nigdy, przenigdy nie zwrócili na to uwagi. Przez całe 6 tysięcy lat. Tak samo jak nie zwrócili uwagi na to, co ich łączyło. A może nie chcieli zwrócić na to uwagi?

People have admired swans for centuries. Their elegance, beauty, and those impressive wings that inspired many poets around the world. But what they admired most was their love, devotion, and loyalty. For they were one of the few creatures that paired for life. Yet they did not know that God had created their wings in the likeness of angelic ones. Humans could not have known that. But two beings on the walls of the Garden of Eden did. However, they never, ever paid attention to it. For all six thousand years. Just as they didn’t notice what connected them. Or perhaps… they didn’t want to?

“Uhhhh… Hi,” Crowley started lamely, scrambling to find a way to explain the situation as quickly as possible. His mind was refusing to work properly, thoughts slow as if doused in oil. He hadn’t really thought about what to say on his way here – he’d been too busy focusing on the getting here part before he would collapse. “I was wondering if I could… If I could maybe die in here, if you don’t mind..?”
The expression on Aziraphale’s face changed abruptly, telling him that the angel did, in fact, mind.
(In which a mortally wounded demon just wants to get somewhere quiet to die but his Adversary will have none of it. A story of how they both learn just how much they care.)
