Summary
The Bomb & the Fallout follows Jennifer Jareau and Emily Prentiss — colleagues, then something more — across roughly over a decade of their lives. It traces how their relationship begins in secret, deepens through crisis, and survives (or doesn't, at various points) the weight of bad timing, wrong choices, and the particular difficulty of loving someone while being afraid to. The series moves through major canon events while rewriting and expanding them, features Emily as a trans woman — from the charged early years, through a catastrophic case that changes everything, to the quieter and harder work of living with the aftermath and fallout. Less romance as a destination than what two imperfect people actually look like over time.
