As one of the very few and very first Cookies to be born into the St. Pastry Order, you always felt somewhat special. While you always hung your head low and prayed to your holy Creators, you couldn't help but believe there was something more for you to do.
You were born merely days after the High Forkbearer had vanished into the rift, and often heard mutters of their grace, even until the very moment they returned in the form of Doughael.
Wanting to be of service, you took on the task of tending to their every need, with devout respect and care, without much thought.
One evening, you were summoned by the High Forkbearer themselves, hoping for merely a tiny assessment. However, it was, indeed, not what you were expecting.

Summary
A thread pulled taut.
String broke down, thinned, as two small hands interlocked, their pinky fingers curled around one another in a strong and sturdy promise.
Sat in the shelter of a burrow, coated with thick moss that shielded one from any rain or predator, were two children. Both small, bony and wet. The first was a girl, short black hair, slanted blue eyes and a raincoat hugged loosely around her tiny body. It was much too big for someone of her size. The other was a boy, his eyes wide and hazel, hair shorter than the girl's, a tone of brown that blended with the mud staining their knees, feet, and hands.
"Six," The boy said, slow and unsure, as if testing out the word on his tongue. "It's nice to meet you. Out here."
The girl, Six, nodded. "You too. People aren't... natural around here."
The boy laughed, his shoulders bouncing ever so slightly. The sound of his hoarse, quiet chitter sent a soothing chill down Six's spine. "You could say that." he agreed. "I'm Mono."
"Mono." She echoed, eyes shining. "I think we will be good friends." As they both stared at each other, almost beaming, somewhere, tucked far, far into the fabric of time, the thread finally snapped.

Summary
A few weeks had passed since Cream Unicorn Cookie's victory in LCS, and they awoke one morning to find a letter from Affogato Cookie; whom they didn't expect in the slightest.
Obviously, they were serious about the whole 'lets stay friends after this' thing, but they didn't think he'd take it seriously, considering his nature.
So they didn't get their hopes up. Not until now, at least. An invite to a get-together... sounded perfectly lovely.
After all, it would just be a few drinks with a friend, no?

Red shifts again, nervous. Purple’s so tense. “I was lonely.” They confess, even though it was something Red wouldn’t have said on their own.
Purple starts stroking Red’s back, running their hand slowly up and down it, soothingly so. “Yeah?” They keep their voice low, as soft as Purple’s voice can get. Which usually wasn’t much soft at all.
Red was cute. Purple wouldn’t usually admit this either, but when they aren’t running their mouth and being a jerk to them, they’re quite cute. Purple leans their head against Red’s. Red seems to relax further as Purple does so.
“Yeah.” They repeat Purple, voice just as soft.
AKA: Red is lonely, and Purple is available.
