Summary
< There are two of you?! >
Dante felt like their head was going to explode. This was somehow so much worse than any other strange Mirror World hopping that Dante had the misfortune of doing. One Vergilius was enough to stress Dante out, having two just seemed cruel.
Dante wakes up in a Mirror World where there are two Vergiliuses.

Summary
“I’m your Guide, Dante. I worry for you, that’s all.”
Dante almost let out a chime in their flustered state as Vergilius leaned close to them. The faint scent of his cologne tickled Dante’s senses.
Kong Qiu took a step back. “I wasn’t aware you were already betrothed. I apologize.”
< Can we please not have this conversation out here? >

Summary
“You have odd tastes, Dante.”
They squeezed harder this time, testing out the waters. Vergilius’ chest was soft in their grip, almost pillowly, molding underneath their touch. Dante was suddenly reminded of the stressball Sinclair had gifted them in passing and the way they had nearly broken it the first day they had it. Except that stressball was nowhere as calming as Vergilius’ tits, and incredibly more fragile.

Summary
Perhaps it was the fact that the man was so well-versed at hiding his true intentions and emotions that Dante didn’t immediately realize that something was off about him. He had been quieter, giving Dante the faintest of praise for a job well done, before sitting alone. It seemed the other Sinners took no notice, the group not exactly friendly enough with the old Guide to sit down and chat casually with him, but Dante saw it.

“I hear you just fine, Dante.”
< Then stop ignoring me. >
Vergilius’ face remained unreadable as he skimmed over Dante’s message. “What did that oaf give you?”

Summary
“You’re going to work yourself to death,” Vergilius said. He put a hand on the paper Dante was working on, interrupting their work when they refused to pay him any attention. “Perhaps we should find a way for you to unwind, Dante.”

< How narcissistic, Dante. >
“It’s not what it looks like!” Dante spluttered, attempting to cover themselves with their hands.“It’s just- I mean, it’s still you. So…”

Summary
It was almost second nature, finding himself outside of Dante’s door after a nightmare or rough day. He had urged them to reject his advances, ‘Please tell me to leave’, but it fell on deaf ears. Like clockwork, Vergilius would knock softly on their door and Dante would let him in without question.

Summary
“Dante.”
They flinched at the sound of their name, their hand stilling as they hazily looked up at the man sitting in front of them. He stood up, sauntering towards the bed and towering over them as their traitorous dick twitched in interest.
“I will only ask one more time, and then I will truly allow you to deal with this alone,” Vergilius said carefully, each syllable catching in the back of his throat. “Would you like my assistance?”

Summary
“You need to turn back the clock, Dante,” Vergilius managed to say instead, his speech breathless and garbled. “Before more come.”
He wouldn’t say it. He couldn’t. Even in death, even if Vergilius knew in the deepest, darkest parts of his mind that Dante would reciprocate, that they had been waiting for him to say it first so as not to rush him, Vergilius couldn’t say it. As much as those damned three letter words hung on his tongue, he couldn’t.

Summary
“We can stop if you’re having second thoughts,” Vergilius said. “I have no intention of forcing anything on you."
< No, it’s okay. I want to do this > Dante typed nervously. They must’ve not been convincing because it took Vergilius a second to respond
“Well, prove it to me then, Dante.” -

Summary
The priest just can't seem to let Gregor go.
Dante had been at a loss after Gregor refused to shed his ‘Priest of La Machaland’ identity. It had been Heathcliff’s idea to ‘just feed him blood ‘til he shuts his trap’. It seemed like the easiest way to bring Gregor’s sanity back, and if he indulged too much Dante would just rewind the clock and bring his exsanguinated victim back. Meursault found himself being voluntold before he even had a chance to think about it. Not that it mattered much to him. If Dante told him to do it, he’d do it.

Summary
“Don’t get distracted now, Dante,” Vergilius hummed, his voice echoing in Dante’s head and making them shiver. He rested his cheek on Dante’s bare thigh, smirking up at them with that all too familiar self-satisfied smirk. Dante averted their gaze quickly.

Dante gets a neck massage
You’re quite tense, Dante,” Vergilius said, bending down over Dante’s shoulder to mutter quietly so only they could hear. “You need to stop overworking yourself.”
< I’m not overworking myself. > Dante typed out shakily.
Vergilius clicked his tongue in disapproval, pressing down roughly on the sore spot. “Lying is a sin, Dante.” -

Summary
Vergilius gets blood drunk.
Dante had assumed that the more blood Vergilius consumed, the more grounded and more like himself he would become. It was the complete opposite, however. As Vergilius drank, he fell into something akin to a drunken daze, his movements sloppy and thirst seemingly never quenched.

Summary
Dante has a bad habit of overworking themselves and Vergilius is sick of it.
“I can see you aren’t going to listen to me. So be it.”
Dante cringed a bit at his annoyed tone of voice. They expected Vergilious to storm out and leave them be, but instead, Vergilius moved to lean on the desk in front of them, blocking their view and looming over them.
“I suppose we’ll just have to find another way to tire you out then, Dante.”' -

Summary
Dante searches for Vergilius after the events of Canto VI.
‘Dante had barely made it five feet when they saw a flash of red before they were thrown onto their back. Their attacker used his full body weight to keep them pinned down, not even giving them space to try and escape. The cold metal of Vergilius’ gladius pressed against their neck, and Dante didn’t dare move.’
