The silence after is deafening.
Gavi blinks once. Twice. Then laughs sharp, disbelieving. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me.” Jude shrugs, voice unnervingly steady for how dry his mouth is. “If the spot is open, I’m applying.”
Gavi just keeps laughing, shaking his head like Jude’s lost his mind. “You’re crazy.”
“Why?” Jude pushes. “Why is that crazy?”
“Are you even gay?”
“Does that matter?”
“Yes!” Gavi shoots back, incredulous. “You’re offering to fuck me, and you’re not even gay? Alright.”
