Morgana’s grin was positively wicked. Arthur’s expression was murderous; “What have you done to him?” Merlin replied immediately, “She knocked me out with a stunning spell, had a few guards beat me, and they gave me a potion. The potion was a few hours ago, I think; they usually take some time to take effect. I’m pretty sure it was a truth potion.”
Complicated emotions flashed across Arthur’s face, but Merlin was certain he saw curiosity, right before the prince settled on livid. “Would you prefer I torture information out of him, brother?” Morgana purred. She leaned her chin on one pale hand, like a child watching a play.
“No, he wouldn’t,” Merlin said helplessly.

Summary
Merlin didn't remember the accident that had taken his memories; he didn't understand why Gaius had saved his life, or who he was running from, but he did know one thing-- avoid the Albionic court.
So, naturally, his ship is immediately destroyed by Arthur, the despised son of the one man Merlin must avoid being noticed by at all costs.
Fortunately for Merlin, he's not the only one with secrets. Or a past he'd rather not recall.

Prince Arthur is destined to be the Once and Future King-- or so he believes. All he has to do to claim his birthright and ensure the peace and prosperity of his people is reclaim the blade that prophecy says will be his... oh, and find the Emrys, whoever that is. Unfortunately, he's not the only one looking for the shards of Excalibur, and the druids don't agree that the son of the Purge is the king of legend.
There is also the tiny detail of that one druid he keeps bumping into. Honestly, the man is like a bad rash. Can't he see that Arthur has a destiny to complete?

The first person began to scream as Hojo stepped forward to accept the cloak bearing the Chief’s family insignia, offered by her beaming step-mother. Her father’s wife stopped to look towards the sound. There was some murmuring in the crowd, irritation that someone was interrupting the show, then another voice rose, high and thready with terror– “Dragon!”The crowd moved like a tide, shouts of shock, disbelief, cries of fear came instantly, a waterfall of sound, and the tightly-packed bodies turned as one, moving towards the direction of the shout– and, Kagome realized, the direction of the strange thrumming sound.
Not her heartbeat. Wings.

Summary
Once, Kagome had believed her grandfather was just an eccentric. A priest who, after long days of ritual and spellwork and dealing with politics and problems and the complexities of the Great City, liked to amuse himself by telling outlandish stories about the gods. Once he is killed, in a brutal and baffling way, she is left with no choice but to hope that at least one of his wild tales was actually true.
Could there really be a god dwelling among them? And, if there is, what else might be out there, waiting in the shadows?

“Identify yourself,” Arthur commanded, ordering himself not to be unnerved by the unnatural gaze. The dragonlord's hair was black and fell into those unearthly eyes in a disorderly tumble that was disarmingly soft looking. Arthur shook the thought away.
The voice came again, once again magically projected into their ears instead of carrying naturally across the space. “My people refer to me as Emrys.”

“Well, they’ve noticed that there was a fire... more or less.” Jace shrugged. “I said they were doing well for mundanes.”

A sort of AU spin on the first book (ish?) in which Clary knows a lot more than she wants to, and Mangus needs to know more than he does. Everyone is a bit older, though not necessarily wiser because, of course they're not. Some whump, and a generous helping of dorks in love.
I did draw from both the books and occasionally the TV show. Endgame canon parings. Language is (occasionally) spicy. No beta. Not sorry.
