Antinous yanked the knife out again and held it high, when suddenly a deep voice sounded close to his ear.
“Oh hell no. You’re not dumping his son into MY ocean. Keep me out of this.”

Antinous survives the Old King’s slaughter and tries to follow through on his threats to kill the prince. Poseidon drags them both into his palace where he imprisons Antinous and patches up Telemachus so he can return him safely to Ithaca before Odysseus thinks he had anything to do with this.
Meanwhile, Telemachus thinks his savior is the most beautiful being he has ever seen in his life…

Apollo first sees Hyacinthus while dancing in armour, and he is immediately smitten. Compared to many times before, he hesitates to immediately reveal himself. The god can't stay hidden forever, however, and both happiness and pain will follow in his path.
But though flowers are only temporary when they bloom, they may bloom again and again, even if it might seem as if cruel winter has killed a beloved plant for good.

The gods are asleep.
Ganymede wakes up starving and lonely, faced with an Olympos seemingly abandoned for how quiet it is. There's nothing that should be able to keep a god asleep through prayers and their names being called, but no one will wake up when he tries to stir them. Ganymede doesn't, at least, have to attempt to fix this situation by himself, but it is a vast task, to retake stolen things and wake sleeping gods, when all of you are only human.
Perhaps that will be their strength, however, and the element of surprise they'll need to wake up sleeping lovers and family.
(There are more than just these characters given solid appearances in the fic, but I'm not going to tag them all, as it's mostly going by who has at least one POV chapter. The focus of the fic overall is the various immortalized humans on Olympos.)

Summary
It's several hundred years after the Trojan war, even more than that since Ganymede was taken to Olympos, and suddenly everything seems a lot easier. Ganymede also has a lot more interest to spare for how life actually does go on. So what about a visit to Athens? Zeus is always indulgent, though he might have been more interested to stay on Olympos at first. And, too, this is a year of the Olympic games, as well.
Running can be an expression of joy and life, after all, and not just an attempt at getting away (from an eagle, from your emotions, from terrible reality). And sometimes you even want to be caught, but that comes later.
