“Huh?”
“The fight. We fought right? No one else could’ve hurt me this bad.” Jabber muses.
“You don’t remember?” Zanka asks. This is weird. Did she really just forget everything that went down just a couple hours ago? Forget how I cupped her cheek, how I held her close, how I lied beside her in bed and kissed her cheek, all the things I told her and all the things she told me. I told her I loved-
Zanka thanks whoever is listening.
Jabber doesn’t remember.
Zanka can’t help the stupid grin spreading across her face. She has so, so many ideas.-OR-
After Jabber gets a nasty hit on the head from Zanka, she forgets the past couple of hours. More importantly, forgets how Zanka went all soft and confessed a couple very important things. -

“The poisons are probably gonna kill you, you know. That goopy goop stuff? Found out it’s a nasty acid, an acid that’s gonna eat away the tissue in your veins till it reaches your heart.” He turns to Zanka, no more playfulness in his eyes. “And kills ya.”
Zanka doesn’t say anything. He stares at him, looking for any sign of sarcasm or lies. But he only finds the darkness of truth seeping from Jabber’s eyes.
Oh.
Of course he’s going to die.Zanka doesn't have much long left, and he can't die. Not like this. He refuses hurt the people around him any more, even if it means working with Jabber. Even if it means trusting his life into the Raider's hands.
He will live.

…Fuck, okay. Zanka can admit it. He wants to watch the light leave Jabber’s eyes.
Wants his enemy’s lifeblood smeared all over Aibō’s curves, soaking her so deep that Zanka can never get the stain out. Wants to lick it off her with his tongue, and swallow down enough that Jabber’s mercurial essence becomes part of Zanka too.
Taste Genius, and know that he was better.
But only if it's earned. Only if Jabber’s also givin’ it his all, every square inch of that prodigious brain devoted to emergin’ victorious.

Summary
Now that Jabber is stuck in this fucked up place, he's learning things about himself he reallyyyy would like to avoid. Things like, being easily taken by a soft hand on his waist, the soft gaze of blue eyes and the twinkling laugh of someone he once swore to defeat. It was a little concerning, to say the least.
Or: part 2 of when Jabber is isekai'd out of his fun into a world without trash beasts, raiders, cleaners, or even vital instruments and he has to really wonder if these chest pains are normal
