Summary
Bruce finds baby Jon-El in a pod that crash landed in his backyard. The Justice League warns him that Kryptonians are not to be messed with, that they're incredibly powerful, that they're conquerors. That little baby Jon may be a toddler, but so was a lion cub.
Bruce doesn't care. A baby is a baby, and Jon is his baby now.
The one thing he didn't count on, however, was the lion returning.

Summary
Bab-Gathon has stood on the Sarru through three sieges, held less by the temple's gods than by one mortal man the city has quietly decided must be touched by something divine. He isn't. He is simply very good at not dying.
Bruce has survived three sieges by refusing to believe in gods. Then one shows up.

A highland king is nine days out and closing. The temple's high priestess has already decided the siege is worth more to her than the city's survival. And somewhere between the war councils and the room under the house, the Watchman of the Ekur wall and the last god of a shattered heaven start becoming something neither the temple nor the wall was built to survive.
