Summary
The cataclysm had left a void in his heart, 500 years ago, as far as he could remember. Mondstadt, his newfound family, his nation...they had filled that void. Who knows? Maybe the Khaenri'ahn bloodline would wage war against Mond, Sumeru, and the other nations. The ley lines would become unstable, as much as the ones in Natlan that he had heard once somewhere by... the Fatui? Maybe something worse than the Abyss would befall Mondstadt. Maybe Stormterror would attack again. Maybe Kaeya would turn out to be a cryo Abyss mage after all. One day, his life would fall apart, with his relationships and reputation. Everything would burn, break like a broken mirror, delicately rearranged back together.
_____Kaeya's chuckle turned into laughter, followed by the cheers of the crowd at the back. Diluc's face was all red and flustered, but looking at his estranged brother, it was all he could do to attempt stifling a smile.
