“Touch him and die.” Scars real voice growled. Holy crap this guy. His voice was deep and powerful. He used his full chest every time he spoke. Steb used one hand to sign ‘help.’ Scar huffed. “No one’s gonna help you pilty.” Scar growled. “It’s just you and me now.”

Coupè reflects on her past and all the mistakes she’s made. She learns to love herself and that she’s allowed to take up space.
Life never went her way, not once. So why? Why now, when she was in so deep was there this flicker of hope? Was she really just that desperate? Pathetic. She was supposed to be all logic, emotion had no place in her life. Yet that longing, that little bit of hope never left her. No matter how hard she tried. She ignored it, always. Never acknowledged that growing bit of hope. If she acted on it, it would come back to bite her, everything would go wrong. She’d find herself locked up, or killed. And she found herself wanting to keep going. To keep living. It wouldn’t get better, it couldn’t. Not for her. This was her life, the life she was fated to have, and always would.
