Not long ago, Izuku was hit by a quirk, hypnosis. A powerful quirk in the hands of a villain. Not powerful enough to stop Izuku and Katsuki from arresting the man, but powerful enough that he got that one good hit in and forever altered Izuku Midoriya’s life.
The terms he had set when he hypnotized Izuku were simple: Whenever Izuku heard the word “drop”, he would slip into an altered mental state, one where he was slower, prone to suggestion, unable to think much for himself. Essentially, dumb. When he heard the word “done” he would return to his regular state.

Is this what Izuku felt, all those years under Katsuki’s boots?
“I’m sorry…” He choked out. “Fuck, I’m sorry.”
But Izuku wasn’t here to apologize to. Worse than that, he wasn’t here for Katsuki to admit that somewhere in the last year, he’d fallen head over heels for the one person who’d never left his side, no matter how bad shit got. He knew Izuku would never forgive him for the horrible things he’d done as a kid, and Katsuki accepted that.
He’d never earn Izuku’s forgiveness, not even if he spent the rest of his life on his knees begging. And he would not, absolutely never, forgive himself for all the damage he’d caused.

He had barely taken a step out of his door for his morning run. His focus naturally pointed toward his watch as he readied his music and timer as it is every morning. Tapping lightly on his watchface, his foot made contact with the first step— only for his body to be used as a fragile landing pad for a kid wrapped in what he thought was a thick sheet.
Hands made contact first. Grasping tightly onto his polyester tee to keep his little body steady. And then surprisingly sharp fucking kneecaps barreling into his stomach throwing him back against his thick wooden door. He doubled over in pain, spluttering vulgar expletives and grabbing the little shit by his arms as they both fell to the ground. A fluffy white blanket flew over them, shielding them from onlookers.
“What the actual fuck?”
