Summary
The Missing Children are taught how to escape their animatronic prisons and enter a more human spiritual form instead, learning of some... grievous side effects that come with their new forms, but thankfully they have Charlie to help them confront the past and work to continue moving. This is a rewrite of one of my first ever fics here on Ao3, both a re-contextualization and an improvement upon my writing style, that might end up leading to some of my older FNaF fics to be rewritten as well. Other fics I'm considering rewriting are Missing Kid's Secret Santa and Humbled By Spirits as well.

Summary
Metal Sonic and Sage have been put together on their first ever team mission - at least the first team mission that didn't have their father helping them in any way. They've been sent together to Little Planet to retrieve the enigmatic Time Stones and bring them back for the Eggman Empire. While the two don't get along the greatest at first, they slowly begin learning things. Things about one another, about the Time Stones, and that they're going to be having visitors on Little Planet that they must overcome to complete the mission. Can these two get along well enough to preserve through this team mission and make their father proud?

A little story about how the Afton family came to be, to put it simply.
Just to clear up any confusion about the dates (and also in case I forget):
William and Evelyn (My personal name for Mrs. Afton) were born a year apart from each other, with William being born in 1944 and Evelyn being born in 1945.
Henry and Melody (My personal name for Mrs. Emily) were both born in 1945 as well.
This story's beginning takes place in 1963, when William is nineteen and Evelyn, Henry, and Melody are all eighteen.

Summary
Metal Sonic hasn't been deployed into battle or been a part of Dr. Eggman's schemes in a while. With nothing to do and nowhere to go, he uncomfortably ruminates about the harsh, undeniable truths that have plagued him since the Metal Virus epidemic... That is, until he's summoned to participate in the new CrossWorlds races. He has no more time to think about any possible insecurities or flaws; there's only time to race-- and defeat-- Sonic the Hedgehog.

This fic is based off of character moments introduced in the IDW comics, namely the "Reflections" comic, along with the rival interactions and gameplay in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (and a few other games that Metal's appeared in). Ultimately, the story is told through Metal Sonic's perspective. I want to give him more of a range of depth and emotions the comic dances with that haven't really come full circle at the time of this writing
Despite being based off of his character from IDW and tidbits from the games, there are no actual details about the arcs and in-depth knowledge about them isn't necessary. This is a small collection of short stories that may have additions later.
