Summary
Attending journalism classes at Loyola University in New Orleans, I find myself constantly being criticized by my young and handsome teacher Martin Loader. Having failed at both his life in Paris and marriage to the older "Aunt" Julia, Loader has returned to take it out on me and make my life miserable it appears.
After I yet again receive a grade I deem as unfair, and as the end of the semester nears, I decide to do a little investigative reporting on an infamous New Orleans gangster to try to redeem my average in the teacher's eyes, only to find that Martin is likewise trying to write an article on the very same subject.
It's not long before our covers are blown and both of our lives are in danger due to our perceived animosity towards each other, however, and I learn the real reason why Martin Loader is trying his best to teach me some of life's most bitter lessons.

Summary
In general, Kelly Campbell was a good person. A good coroner, quite decent friend, not the worst wife. She didn't care enough with how people thought she was wrong on avoiding pregnancy. She had her reasons, not every omega was a baby maker machine. Colin, her alpha and husband, wasn't really happy with that, but he accepted. They made it work, suppressants strong enough to make impossible to get pregnant and scheduled heats when Colin was out of town.
Then she's paired with the new detective in town, who happens to be an alpha.

Summary
Tom was never one to believe in tales. Much less, in the existence of blood-sucking creatures. So, even when they warn him about taking the job at the manor up the hill, he didn't give it much thought. Now he wished he had listened to the people of the town (even if a voice on the back of his head persisted that it wasn't his fault, the villagers were wrong most of the time).
However, the intentions of the vampire aren't quite the same as Tom thinks.
