Alastor had managed to preserve a victim from a few days ago that had delicious tasting meat on him. He had done so knowing that he might not be able to get anything off the next kill. Which was correct. Alastor really had the gift of foresight sometimes!
What he did not foresee was that as soon as he had taken no more than a few steps away from the water that a bullet would hit him squarely between his eyes and pierce through his skull.

Summary
The business trip to Louisiana was something Vincent had actually been looking forward to. After all, it was a golden opportunity to meet that radio host he’d been hearing so much about, and maybe strike up a little deal while he’s at it.
But that radio host seems to have far more to him than meets the eye. His strange reaction to being asked about his hobbies, his notoriety in the New Orleans nightlife scene, the way he apparently disappears for long periods of time… and when Vincent sees him walking out of a bar with a man, something clicks, and he thinks he’s figured it out.
Alastor is gay.
TLDR// Vincent mistakes Alastor’s serial killer behaviour as a sign that he prefers men. Confusion, self discovery, and more than a little violence ensues

Vincent looked him up and down warily, but accepted his hand. He gripped it tightly, and gave it a strong tug, just like his father had taught him. “I’m Vincent.” He deepened his voice just a smidge. 'You can always tell a real man apart from a daisy just from his handshake', his father always said.
Alastor gave a slight giggle in response, seemingly amused by the bizarre greeting. Vincent still wasn’t sure if he was laughing at him or if he just laughed at everything. He found he didn’t care that much either way, now that his initial anger had passed. Alastor had a nice laugh.

Spoiler Warning: Major spoilers for Hazbin Hotel's pilot and episodes lay ahead! Beware all who aren't caught up, or I may spoil the glorious tea!!!
After suffering from some… angelic food poisoning… Alastor undergoes a shocking transformation that leaves him confused beyond belief and the hotel’s residents utterly flabbergasted. With so many enemies, Alastor is left with little choice than to go into hiding until his predicament can be solved—though doing so can be quite difficult when you’ve suddenly become human again and you're suffering from random bouts of amnesia.
Finding himself in an unusually vulnerable position, the infamous Radio Demon must learn to trust and count on the Hazbin Hotel’s residents in order to survive long enough for a cure to be found… before his secret gets out and all of Hell comes looking to claim the Radio Demon’s head!
