Summary

An unexpected stop on your path seems harmless, that is, until the first blood spills. You're forced to enter into a wager for your life; a deal you'd make any day if it meant holding onto your last chance to finish what you had been working at for years. You will win no matter the cost.
***This is the rewritten/remastered version of the story by the same name that I took down somewhat recently. I decided I wanted to change up the story a bit as well as see how my writing skills have improved since originally writing it back in like 2019-ish?
