Dream felt his breath hitch as he lowered his hunting bow. The dying sunlight caught perfectly on the swan’s pristine white wings, highlighting its beauty and grace as it glided through the sky.
It was so, so beautiful.
When it gently landed on the ground, there was a magnificent flash of light, and the brunet who replaced the swan was somehow even more breath-taking.

Summary
“Hi,” Dream greets with as much sweetness as he can muster without killing himself. Being nice to George feels wrong, so the act Dream is trying to sell is definitely not selling. “Uh, how are you?”
George shuts his locker curtly and the bubble he makes with his gum pops right in front of Dream’s face, “Is that a question for me? Or for yourself?”
Dream really wants to tell George that he’ll wish it was meant for Dream (once he lands a mean uppercut on the brunet’s jaw).
Dream is too busy hating his enemy to know what love feels like.

If George really focuses, he swears he can feel the heat from Dream’s arm against his own, from inches apart.
“Because you…looked like shit,” George says, meeting his eyes.
Dream stares unwaveringly back. “What’s the real reason, George?”
The rise and fall of the Dream Team hit Dream hard—harder than it did George and Sapnap.
Maybe here, in the pouring rain, on the front doorstep of the house that belongs to someone who might want him dead more than anyone else, he’ll get a second chance.
And Dream is certainly not opposed to groveling or begging.
