Summary
Kuroo didn’t know much in this life, but he knew survival. He knew what killed a man. More often than carelessness, it was kindness.
That was the first cruel lesson this hellscape had taught him: look out for yourself, and your own. Never stick your neck out for a stranger. Never stop to offer directions. Never share resources. Never tell the truth.
To live honestly and righteously, was to perish foolishly.
I don’t know why I saved him. I should’ve just let him die.
The world has long ended, yet Kuroo endures. For atonement of a past sin, and for Tsukishima Kei.Series

Summary
“Well, aren’t you something?"
His voice was resonant in the darkness, painting a clear picture where vision failed: a deep, commanding note, lilted by a hint of fascination, like he was staring down at a rare find. A bounty ripe to plunder.
Indeed, Kei was a prize. Something to be stolen and hidden and coveted, until he inevitably outlived his usefulness, and endured another change of hands.
As the rarest breed in this world, Tsukishima Kei has spent his life exploited and abused by cruel, powerful men. His newest keeper, Captain Kuroo Tetsurou of the Blackfang pirates, infamous warlord of the southern seas, is no exception.Only - he is exceptional, in a crucial regard.
Kuroo Tetsurou has lost something precious. Something that would permit Kei to feel his emotions and thoughts. Something that would restore his humanity.
His soul. It's out there, somewhere in the vast ocean. And now Kei has no choice but to help him get it back.

Summary
Only now did everything make sense: the warning, the discerning eye. Akiteru had predicted this would happen. His brother was fire, burning gold. For the sake of his colleague, he tried to pour water over the embers, before something could spark, before the flames could scorch them both.
No matter his foresight, Akiteru's efforts would be in vain. Kei was too perfect. Tetsurou understood now that burning was inevitable.
Kikaijima. It's a sleepy island with a population of less than eight thousand, inhabited by sugarcane farmers, fishermen, and two people running from their past.Tetsurou came to finish his dissertation. Kei came to write a curriculum. Both of them are hiding something, and neither one wants to admit they've made the stupid mistake of falling in love. Again.

Summary
The show was over, Cherry was off the clock, and presently, she was more interested in getting to know the bottom of her drink than some random loser at the club. But, quite spontaneously and for no particular reason, she decided a hundred dollars was the price of politeness tonight.
(Also, this guy wasn’t ugly. Certainly, there were worse ways to pad out the remainder of the evening.)
She turned on the charm, bestowing a warm smile and not-so-innocent hand on Tetsurou’s bicep, squeezing the muscle in appraisal. Hm. Not bad.
“Hi baby, ‘course I remember you.”
Tetsurou falls in love at a drag show.Series

Summary
"Suspicions aside,” Yamaguchi continued, “they were happy. Blissful. I didn’t know Tsukki was capable of such domesticity. When Kazuma transferred again, this time to Tokyo, Tsukki uprooted everything to follow him. He really was in love.”
The beer must’ve disagreed with his stomach, because Tetsurou felt like he was going to vomit.
“Was,” he repeated, voice empty and flat. Past tense. Yellow eyes sank into his drink, the same bright color. He scrutinized the receding foam along the rim.
“He still is,” Yamaguchi corrected softly. “That’s part of the problem.”
Tetsurou ground his teeth to brace the inevitable.
“Kazuma left, about five months back.”
Kei is shattered. Tetsurou picks up the pieces.Series

Summary
“Relax,” Artemy tells him.
Dankovsky’s body obeys before his mind does. In fact, it had as soon as Artemy touched him.
“Do you get headaches often?”
Dankovsky grunts. “Don’t waste your diagnostics on me. There’s a plague.”

Summary
"I want you to bite my neck and suck my blood during sex," Ronald said.
Draluc blinked at him, two bottles of competing milk brands in his hands. The next aisle over, an elderly woman dropped her shopping basket, and next to them, John nu'd, clearly scandalised.
(On second thought, the VamiMart dairy aisle might not have been the ideal time and place to bring this up.)Bookmarked by springdaughter

Summary
Wiggling on the ground, pushing itself onto its forearms, the mer spills from the net, right in front of Tetsurou’s boots.
Chest heaving with every ragged breath drawn, the mer looks up, staring at Tetsurou—he’d call it defiantly if he didn’t know better.

Summary
Edamura's final act is, in many ways, his simplest. He disappears. AU where Edamura's speech at the end was earnest.
Salazar reaches over to push the shirt up another few inches before he can decide it’s none of his business.
“Jesus Christ,” he breathes.
Rust, all the way up: a tear of it across the kid’s chest, under off-white gauze that should have been changed when Edamura showed up on his doorstep last night if not the day before that. He does quick math in his head: a flight from fuck knows where, a day on either side to go from whatever did this to sitting on a plane to Los Angeles.
A hand wraps around his wrist loosely. When he looks up, Edamura is staring at him, nothing in his eyes but that same tired apology.
“Are you in danger?” Salazar asks.
Edamura smiles wryly. “No. I wouldn’t have brought that to you two.”
