“The conversation- if it can even be called that…fades out but they don’t leave. They’re still eyeing him. Suzaku tries to return to his work. Pretend like they aren’t there.
The next words are so out of nowhere Suzaku drops what he was holding and the roars of laughter that follow are enough to drown the sound of it hitting the floor. Enough to drown it out ten times over.
“Can I have your number?”
“Excuse me…”
“Can. I. Have. Your. Number.” The boy repeats it like Suzaku doesn’t know English.
His hands are still wet from washing off his P.E gear. When he’d pass Lelouch on the way in he’d told the other boy he’d had chemistry and needed to wash his hands after handling chemicals. He’d seemed to buy it. Which was a relief because Suzaku got the sense that if Lelouch knew he’d concern himself with it unnecessarily.
