Summary
This is the end of an old story, the beginning of another.
Asuka R. Kreutz’s titles and attributed crimes are myriad. Famous. But what surprised the world was his unassuming awkwardness—a far cry from the fear he induced. Similarly, simultaneously, what would surprise Asuka himself was that his master, The Original, had turned into the villain-playing Happy Chaos after his disappearance into the Backyard. Going against the principles he advocated in life, their reunion could only go one way.
Turn the clock back; it is June 2008, the start of summer in Italy. Perfect for a vacation, for yet another working trip as the world's figurehead. With luxurious lodgings provided in a small town, their identities otherwise disconnected from importance—the Universal Will contained after the Millenium catastrophes inflicted—it is a time of renewal and recuperation.
But unknownst to all, there are barriers weakening. For the self can only wish to live so much when denied, before it releases its prisoner.

Summary
Nagoriyuki sustains unhealable injuries after a holding back a fight, and the only way for him to regenerate them is to drain the blood of a sentient being. Fleeing into a forest, trying to resist the urge without consuming an innocent, he is on the brink of losing control when Happy Chaos shows up and offers to be his source of blood. Desperate, Nagoriyuki takes him up on the offer. Unfortunately, as a being of pure desire, Chaos' blood turns out to have an unnaturally strong aphrodisiac effect that neither of them entirely expect, which leads to certain consequences.
The worst of it to either of them? Each other’s unwanted kindness after.

If it was anyone else, he would rather take his chances crawling his way out of that hellhole. But it was Ragnvaldr… The man who fought beside him for so long… Who had risked his life for his sake, and for whom Cahara would have done the same, even against his better judgment.
