Summary
"What even is love? In the end, it only brings you pain." Aerion held Valarr in his gaze.
Valarr shrugged. "What is love if not grief agreeing to wait? They always walk hand in hand. To love means agreeing to the grief that comes with it."
One night, Daeron vanished without a trace. Determined to find him, Aerion and Valarr set out on a 900-mile drive from Summerhall to Starfall. Amidst the quiet, winding roads and family wounds that had not healed, they found themselves confronting the feelings they had both been avoiding—all while searching for clues that might lead them to Daeron.

Summary
"You are acting like a child," Baelor said with a sigh, his voice laced with suppressed anger.
Something inside Maekar snapped. "You fucked a sixteen-year-old and then got mad when he actually acted like a sixteen-year-old?" A bitter laugh escaped him. "I am a child!"
Or, Baelor groomed his little brother a little too well and on one summer holiday, he reaped what he had sown.

Summary
Valarr wants to be happy, not simply content. He wants to live a life full of overwhelming joy with the alpha he wants, a marriage he wishes for and the children he desires. Valarr deserves it, especially after the hellish life he lived and he is prepared to do whatever he has to for it.
Or Valarr finds himself in the past, after his heat and before his father offered the betrothal to Kiera of Tyrosh.

Summary
“Recoveries are long and troublesome. Months. You won’t be able to play pickleball with Aegon for a long time.”
“I already can’t play pickleball with him, or squash with Aerion, or tennis with Matarys. This is the problem. These are the problems.” Maekar gestured angrily at his own chest. “They go everywhere.”
Baelor knew this. Baelor appreciated them going everywhere—immensely.
Or: The one where Maekar has anime jiggle physics.

Baelor huffs, feigning offense. “Who else would you have supervising you, boy?”
“No one,” Valarr admits, foolishly loving and too caring. “No one else at all, father.”

Summary
"About what Lord Dondarrion said yesterday, you had told him that you would consider his words. Have you?"
"There is no need to consider such words, father," Baelor eventually settles for. "I am a married man; there already is a consort."
Daeron hums under his breath. "You are correct, of course, but there is merit in his words."
"Maekar is my mate. I will not—"
"I'm not asking you to," Daeron interjects. "But it has been ten years. Sooner or later, he will have to return to King's Landing. He cannot hide away in Summerhall for the rest of his life."
Baelor presses his lips together tightly and frowns. "I have made repeated attempts. All of which were rejected, and forcing Maekar has never brought good results."
"You have till this year to fix this mess, Baelor," the King says to him, voice losing the softness of a father and gaining the hardness of a ruler. "After that, I will have to ask you both how you feel about an annulment."
or, when Baelor and Maekar's relationship is a mess, it's up to their kids to fix it.
or, the parent trap au no one asked for.
