Xinlong even read the stories flooding the rabbit hole reddit forums he'd found himself in late one night: affairs between horny husbands and deceitful au pairs, all under the poor, unknowing wife's nose. Quite the scandal. Apparently it happens more often than Xinlong can even process. They all read like horror stories to him, and they were enough to scare him out of even entertaining a Kim Geonwoo shaped thought.
Not that he ever would have, anyway. He likes to think he was raised better than that. No— he knows he was.

One sleepless night in the dorm, curiosity got the better of him, and he opened Twitter just to see what fans were saying—about the stages, the performances, the group. Harmless. Normal. Definitely allowed.
Somehow, that turned into him running a low-key stan account.
And somehow, that stan account turned into a full-time job: posting updates, collecting fancams, defending moments that clearly meant something (to him, at least). It was all just for fun. Just appreciation. Just a little harmless shipping.
Except there was a problem.
For every tweet Geonwoo posted, there was one account that always showed up to ruin it.
An annoyingly persistent troll who insisted he was overanalyzing everything. Who dismissed every moment as a coincidence, every interaction as “not that deep,” and every ship take as pure delusion.

“We’ll be there with you though!” says Anxin. “And if you really really hate it you can leave early, I promise. Please? It won’t be as fun without you.” His voice gets sad and pouty on that last line, and he hasn’t dropped the puppy-eyes. Sanghyeon, who’s been released from Anxin’s hold, isn’t even trying to hold back his laughter. They all know it’s just a matter of time before Xinlong caves.
He lasts about ten seconds.
“Fine, I’ll come.”
Anxin cheers, darting around the table to tackle him with a hug as well. “You’re the best Longlong! It’ll be fun, I promise. You won’t regret it.
He regrets it already.
