Summary
I'm a man who fixes things. Engines, pipes, problems. But my sixteen-year-old daughter's heart? That's a tangled mess I can't get my hands on, and it's killing me. A week in the mountains is my plan to fix it. My old college roommate Michael says I need to show Lily what a real man is. How she should be loved and cherished. He's sold me on a remote cabin in the Cascades as the perfect opportunity for father-daughter bonding. No Wi-Fi, no distractions.
Michael's got this intense vibe, though. A philosophy professor, he talks a lot about breaking society's rules, about finding a more natural way of living. I think he means fishing and campfires, but he's got secrets. I can feel it in my gut. The bond he has with his own teen daughter feels a little off. A little too close.
The further we drive into the remote wilderness, the more I wonder if this is really a rescue mission for my relationship with my Lilypad, or if I've just delivered us into a trap.
